Our Networks
The Clark County STEM Network was formed in response to a very particular need: a local employer needed qualified talent for its workforce and a nearby school district wanted to provide real life work experience for its students.

Shin-Etsu America, a silicon wafer manufacturer, and Evergreen Public Schools teamed up in 2009 to provide work-based learning to students in local high schools. The project was highly successful and revealed the potential impact of implementing similar partnerships throughout the region for other local high school students and businesses.
In 2011, Washington State University Vancouver, Clark College, ESD 112, and Vancouver and Evergreen School Districts joined together with SEH-America to form the Southwest Washington STEM Network. Over the past 9 years, the network has expanded to include all of the companies in the High Tech Council and each of the school districts in Clark County, as well as multiple other businesses, government agencies and community based organizations.
Together, we have joined forces to build the Clark County Career Connected Learning Network.
